Hi I am Kellie Patterson, I am 28 years old. I've been married to my wonderful husband Vince for 5 years and together for 10 years!!! We have 2 beautiful children together. I could not have asked for a better family. I am all about my family and my extended family. Our son, Vinny is 4 years old. He will be 5 in October. Our daughter, Ciera is 1 year old. She just turned 1 in May.
We currently live in Destin, FL. The pan handle of Florida. It is really nice here. The water is unreal! The only bad thing is we are so far from our family. We don't get to see them nearly as often as we would like, but at least we have each other. The women that started PWA are all very close! Crystal is my sister! Technically my sister in law, but not to me! Shannon and I have been friends for a long time! We moved away from our home town around the same time and haven't seen each other in a long time! Stacia just had a baby and I can't wait to meet her!!! I sure do miss my friends and my family! My mother and father always pushed family values on me and at the time I hated it, but I am so glad they did. I plan on doing the same to my babies. I think that is what is missing from a lot of families now a days. I hope that with this website we can reach even just one family! |

Hello there! My name is Shannon Cooper and I live in mountains of Western North Carolina. I am 32 years old and work full-time as a real estate paralegal. I have been working in the title insurance/real estate industry for 7 years. I have been married to my husband Jason for 9 years, but we have been together for a total of 14 years. WOW! We have the most beautiful 4 year old little boy named Avery. He is the most fun and loving child we could have ever been blessed with. Our son was diagnosed with Autism in June of 2006 by the Children Developmental Services of Western North Carolina. We went in search of a second opinion at the TEACCH facility in Asheville where they confirmed the diagnosis of Autism. Of course we still loved our little boy just as much as the first day we laid our eyes on him, but found ourselves searching for answers, help and services just as many other families out there just like us. Trying to find your way through the system is really hard and exhausting. It can feel like a full-time second job. My hope through this website is to help other parents and families just like us by sharing our experience over the last couple of years. It has been a long and hard road, but we are very blessed with the love and support from our family and friends. |
